First off, a return welcome to Michael Ketemer who contacted Concertina World from the U.S. Michael writes: Here’s a nice tune, The Sinful Waltz, by my friend Jay Edmunds, played on a Wheatstone aeola (extended range concertina):

Paul McCann comments: Kensington Waltz was composed by London concertina player Tommy Williams. It’s played here on a Crane system duet concertina (Tommy played the MacCann system). I have added images and some narrative to give it context.

Dick Glasgow, renowned for his multi-track videos, plays The Yellow Haired Laddie. An old Scottish air, first published in 1724 and played here on fiddle, English Concertina, whistle and hammered dulcimer. Lockdown Video #246:

Master of the Irish Concertina, Noel Hill performs two reels, The Wind that Shakes the Barley and Trip to Durrow on a Concertina made in the 1860s, in an early video:

Michael Pierceall, Eleanor Plunkett. A tune by Turlough O’Carolan (1670-1738), played here on a restored Wheatstone English concertina, built in 1918:

And a cheery halloo from Steve Taggart, who chooses Paul Woloschuk. The Trade Wind Hornpipe, played on a 100-year-old Jeffries duet concertina. This tune was used as the theme for the 1950s BBC radio show The Navy Lark:
