Archives: Concertinas

This gallery of concertina images and related data came originally from the now-gone Crane Duet Concertina website, which was originally created by Steve Phillips and was later revived by the ICA.  Because of this history, the gallery mostly contains Crane concertinas at this point (February 2024).  We hope to add more examples of other types of concertinas in the future. You can contribute your concertina to the gallery using this form.

The owner writes: “I bought this concertina from Barleycorn in October ‘23. They weren’t certain of the age but thought it’s maybe from around 1920. It is a Lachenal but it has H Boyd & Co on the label. It’s a tutor model and a wee bit scruffy round the edges but it makes a great sound!”
