Dave Cornell of the USA sadly passed away during the last week of May after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Dave was by profession an opera singer who took up the MacCann Duet Concertina after he retired in order to be able to sing and play sea shanties and humorous songs.  He came to West Country Concertina Player, Swaledale Squeeze and Concertinas at Witney weekends in the UK and to folk events in the USA over a number of years.

He will be remembered by concertina players for the humorous songs he sang and the magnificent duet arrangements that he wrote and played.
