"Slow and Steady" tune workshops
First Saturday of each month. 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Your first visit is free and any further sessions are £3 which includes tea/coffee and biscuits.
This workshop is to provide a 'half-way house' where people can meet in a friendly group and play session tunes as slowly and steadily as needed. They also have the chance to pick up tunes either by ear or from music. We aim to build people's confidence in playing with other musicians, before taking part in the many wonderful sessions that can be a bit daunting to players at first.

The East Anglia Concertina Players are arranging another "Play in a Band" day. The event will be held at Stamford, (Lincolnshire) where we have again booked the Ballroom in the Arts Centre, and will be led by Paul Barrett. Stamford is adjacent to the A1 and just North of Peterborough and the A14. The Arts Centre is in the centre of the town and there is plenty of free car parking on Sundays. The restored 17th Century Ballroom can seat up to 250 persons, so we are not short of space. If you have any special questions or suggestions please email them to me. For details of how it was done this year, please look at my website (see above for link).
